A History of Innovation
Since its founding in Edmonton, Alberta in 1992, EcoTEMP International has focused on furthering the application of Radiant Thermal Sheet Technology to a variety of industrial and consumer products. Over its history it has provided solutions to eliminate satellite antenna ice and snow build-up, warm outdoor petrochemical storage tanks and pipes and reduce the onboard energy consumption of vehicle seat heating systems.
Over 200 of its satellite de-icing systems are in service worldwide in some of the world’s most extreme climates and more than three million automotive seat heater components have been produced for the North American market. Its proprietary manufacturing process has given it the ability to meet its customers' production needs at a level exceeding their demanding performance and durability standards.
In 2004, to serve its growing base of automobile manufacturers, it embarked on its largest expansion to date resulting in the establishment of a manufacturing, research and development centre in Windsor, Ontario, the capital of Canada’s automotive industry.
Market acceptance of its products has seen the company grow from a handful of staff at its inception to a complement that now nears the 300 mark guided by a strategic direction to further expand its success in a number of markets.
